Stripes, I love them. I seem to be getting more hooked as time goes by.
I was scrolling through my blog photo folders the other day and I began to notice just how many stripes I've painted this year. And I just finished two more striped pieces. Are you as hooked as I am? Grain stripes, beaded board stripes, striped stripes - they're EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!
It began innocently enough, I made a little sign for my laundry room and painted it up all pretty:
Then of course, there was the grain sack striped bedroom that inspired my grain sack striped shelf desk and chair.
I needed a cute solution to storing some tools in my mudroom, so I painted up an old crate & added some wheels.
And things just blew up from there...
I decided to give a little more oomph to my bathroom vanity
And then I moved into another bathroom to dress up a plain jane shelving unit I have in there.
Then I went whole hog on it and painted the doors to match:
Although I didn't really like this look very much, a little TOO faux if you know what I mean. Now it looks like this:
I dry brushed white over the painted stripes to tone them down a bit.
Then I painted my bistro chair in stripes too, just because...
I moved into my laundry room and painted grain stripes on the doors that I had put on the storage tower:
and my potting bench/folding table/work bench didn't escape my attention either
So there you have it. Anybody else losing it over stripes? Can you tell I love blue & white? Just a little?
Thanks for visiting, have a great day!
