Where Bloggers Create 2012

It's officially time for the biggest linky party of the year!!

Wow, is it really a year since my last Where Bloggers Create post??

I still don't have a designated space for creating, I continue to use pretty much every room in my house.  My big plan of fixing up my huge shed and turning it into a studio/workshop flopped when my never-ending bathroom reno commandeered the entire space as storage for the bathtub, beadboard panels, plumbing parts, fixtures, etc., etc.  Oh well, my new studio will be my next Where Bloggers Create post!

My biggest change this year has been buying a laptop so I don't spend all my blogging time stuck in my office.  Instead I blog here:

or here:
 or here:
or my very favourite place, here:

and I finally found a use for my favourite old door as a screen for my washer and dryer!!

and I create here:
and I hid all the canvases and framed paintings that I have no wall space for so that they aren't all toppling over in the corner behind my easel.  I hate that I have no room to hang them up, sigh...
Here are my three favourites:

and this is where I do all my building projects.  Right smack in the middle of my patio area:

and if all goes well, this will very soon be where I'm creating.

Thanks so much for visiting!  Happy creating everyone!

Oh and don't forget to visit all the amazing creative spaces that have linked up to Karen's party:

  8. Looks to me like you have a wonderful open space to create. I worked like this for YEARS! When my kids were both home there wasn't a place available except our formal dining room table.

It all looks LOVELY to me!

    Thank you for visiting me!

  9. I love that little desk in the middle of the house versus being stuck away in an office. My logical office space would be in the office ... but I'm not a basement dweller. Still trying to figure out a solution ...

    :)

  12. Where there's a will, there's a way. My laptop and craft supplies are within arm's reach from the loveseat in our tv room. It's my favorite place to be. How wonderful it would be to makeover the shed for your studio space. Good luck! Have a great weekend. Tammy

  16. it is not necessary to have a studio to create beautiful things. Many artists created and will create beautiful things on their kitchen table.
I hope your dreams will fulfill and that you will have your own studio soon.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for your kind comments.

Have a creative summer. Blessings and Bonjour de France !

  20. That will be a wonderful new space for you to create, Ann! Meanwhile, you create where you can. I do and even though when we moved I got my small room, I do still have to use the floor in the living room or spread out on the dining table. I just have to clean up afterwards, where in my room I can leave projects in progress. I'm sure you've got lots of ideas and inspiration for your new space!

  24. First I want to say that your cat is gorgeous! So fluffy and cute!! Like you, I want to turn my shed into a craft area ... or build a new shed for a craft area. Especially for working on furniture pieces. Finally, I love that you're using an old door for a screen in the laundry area. Great idea!

  49. Looks like you could have a different place to blog nearly every day of the week and each one of those is so very neat!
It must be very exciting to be able to plan a whole separate studio from scratch.
It has been so much fun joining in this WBC and how inspirational it has been too for me and my own studio space as well.
    Thanks for sharing!

  50. I too would love a shed studio... but with our climate, I wouldn't be able to use it most of the year! Good luck with yours; hope it's in your near future!

  51. I love a girl who loves power tools and the hardware store like I do! So fun, isn't it? You're right about getting the laptop. My Ipad is too small for that purpose (for me) and I need to break down and buy one! I plan on returning to your blog, Anne, and would love to have you visit mine when you get a chance! Thanks for sharing your space... and can't wait for the big reveal on the potting shed transformation!

  52. I craft in my bedroom, so I can relate to having no designated space. I hope you are able to take over the shed soon and create your studio, although all the spaces in your home are lovely and look comfy! I loved the paintings you showed us! You are very talented.

  53. I really what you did with the corner space beside the washer, what a clever way to block that off and it looks so warm and cozy now, very nice country & farm feel to it. That shed will be great space for you and I hope you'll post along the way you work on it and also take part in next years party : ) It was nice too to be able to see your work you do, lots of lovely colours.

I did look at your other posts, and I love what you did with the pot rack in the end. I think we all have had moments like that when we vision something and then we finally get it its a different story, but you did it : )

Great tour, thank you for sharing!!
